Researchers should provide persistent links to articles retrieved from the Library databases rather than uploading the PDFs when sharing or posting resources. Uploading PDFs from Library-licensed databases to publicly accessible sites is prohibited because these materials are copyright protected. Please consider the Four Factors of Fair Use when considering uploading PDFs to a learning management system such as Canvas.

Use the Create Links to Library Resources link below to locate the permanent link for library resources. Providing a persistent link or “permalink” to the article could provide a scaffolded learning opportunity for students and faculty to practice logging in and downloading articles while also accessing the citation information in most cases.

*Persistent links are not always found in your browser window. Do not copy and paste the URL from the browser window of the selected resource unless directed to do so.

**Please contact Library Director, Dr. Jim McCloskey with any questions pertaining to copyright or fair use.
