Below is some information that will get you started with your marketing research.
To access the library databases, please follow the link below:
(This is the Find Articles and More link on the Library homepage)
Once you select the database you would like to use, you will be prompted to log into Blackboard with your username and password.
For company research, you will want to use databases such as Business Source Complete, Company Profiles or Mergent. For product or brand research you can use Business Source Complete, Academic Search Premier or MasterFile Premier.
In addition, you can also use Google Scholar, which is accessible from the library list of databases.
Open the file below to view some screen captures on how to create a search using the Company Profiles and Business Source Complete Database to locate company information and also specific product information. We have used Apple and the iPad as examples. You can simply replace the terms with your topic to get relevant results.
Below is a link to the BMK 305 Research Guide created by the library. In this guide you will find additional information on which database to use and how to cite information in APA format. In addition, on the Tutorials Tab, you will find short five minute video tutorials that will show you how to conduct in-depth research using our databases.
