Thank you for contacting us through Ask a Librarian DE. You will not be charged while we are locked down. Here is some helpful information:

COVID-19 Closure Flyer revised 1.2

As of 5 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2020, the Book Drops outside New Castle County Libraries will be closed. Please keep your materials until the library re-opens. When the library re-opens, we will offer fine-free returns for a period of time, and you may return any materials you stored then without any overdue fines/late fees.

Updates and announcements will be made on the New Castle County libraries' web page (https://newcastlede.gov/286).  We ask that you check these sites frequently as events unfold. Please do not leave library materials or donations outside the library's doors during the period that the library is closed! Thank you for your cooperation!

Please feel free to direct any other questions or concerns to us here at Ask a Librarian. We hope you and your family are well, and look forward to the day we can open our doors again.

Regards,
