You can access library content on either or both apps using your library card. We encourage patrons to try out each format to see which app you prefer. The main difference is that if your library offers access to streaming videos, you will need to use the Overdrive app as this function is not available through Libby.
Libby
Libby is an app that allows patrons to access e-books, e-magazines, and audiobooks with a library card. The app can be downloaded to your phone or device following these instructions.
Overdrive
Overdrive is a website AND an app. The website can be accessed here: https://www.overdrive.com/
The Overdrive app can be downloaded onto your phone or device using these instructions.
In addition to e-books, e-magazines, and audiobooks, Overdrive also allows patrons with a library card to access streaming videos if the library has this function available.
